The newly appointed Super Eagles handler, Shaibu Amodu will be submitting his programme for the national team’s upcoming games to the Nigeria Football Association on Friday.

The submission which will be made at the Glass House secretariat of the NFA will see Amodu reveal how he wants the football house to go about the prosecution of the national side’s opening round of fixtures in the qualifying series for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and African Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles will be involved in four qualifying matches in the month of June beginning with the June 1 encounter against South Africa in Abuja, before departing for the away tie against Sierra Leone the following weekend.

A week after the game against the Leone Stars the Eagles will be in Malabo to take on their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea before rounding off their June schedule with the reverse fixture against the former Spanish colony on June 21 in Abuja.

These four games will however be preceeded by the May 27 friendly encounter against Austria in Vienna and the NFA is, come Friday, expected to put heads together with the national team’s helmsman with regards to the execution of the upcoming fixtures.

In addition, the Sani Lulu - led board will also deliberate on the successful prosecution of the home-based Eagles’ encounter against their counterparts from Burkina Faso scheduled for the following day, Saturday, at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

The game is the first leg of the qualifiers for next year’s CAF African Nations Championships billed to come up in Cote d’Ivoire and the Nigerian side is handled by Okey Emordi.

Also on the same day, the NFA will formally unveil Amodu and his trio of coaching assistants, Daniel Amokachi, Fatai Amoo and Aloysius Agu who skippered the Super Eagles to a silver medal finish at the Algiers ‘90 Cup of Nations.

The unveilling ceremony will however come up at the Conference Room of the National Stadium, Abuja.
