Abuja Municipal Area Council will soon introduce a directory to ease the identification of all nooks and crannies of the Federal Capital Territory by residents and visitors to the city, AMAC’s supervisory councillor for special duties, Emmanuel Inyang, said yesterday at the council’s secretariat.

He said the directory will enable people to access information about the geographical locations in Abuja."

He said the move was to ease the hardship people face in locating places in the FCT.

Emmanuel said the directory would serve as a guide to ease the movement of people in the territory, adding that it would go a long way to educate people about the cultures, identities and activities of Gbagyi communities in Abuja.

According to him, people would access statistics of organisations that exist as well as comprehensive updates of products and services in the FCT through the directory.

"AMAC will have an easy means of disseminating information, and its activities will be hosted and subscribed through the internet for accessibility. The document will be updated regularly," he said.

He said the funds for the project would be generated through consultants who would invest in it as it would contain vacancy advertisements as well as investment opportunities and would be sold at an affordable cost.

The project director of the firm, Mr Michael Obilor, promised to make the document the first of its kind in Abuja.
