Kano Pillars top scorer, Bello Kofarmata and two of his team mates, Baleria Mohammed and Hilary Chukwu have been invited to the home-based Super Eagles camp, ahead of May 3 Africa Nations Championship qualifier against Burkina Faso at the UJ Esuene Stadium.
Kofarmata, a former Flying Eagles attacker has so far scored 11 goals that have catapulted the Kano-based soccer side to the top of the ongoing Premier League, which has two matches remaining. The Pillars’ trio are among the 30 players invited by coach Okey Emordi to camp in Calabar, which opens today for the Africa Nations Championship qualifier next Saturday. The list also includes three members of the National Under-23 Dream Team, Ambrose Efe, Olufemi Thomas and Yinka Adedeji. Also invited are former league top scorer with Zamfara United Timothy Anjembe and former U-20 captain Blessing Okardi. Other invited players are goalkeepers Akombo Terhemen, Bassey Akpan, and John Gaadi, while John Chidozie and Daniel Osigwe are invited midfielders. Also invited are Chinedu Efugh, Nwokolo Obinna, Adegoke Mutiu, Sunday Adeyemi, Nura Mohammed, Monday Osagie, Emma Nwachi, Ben Okorogu, Olumide Adedeji, Babatunde Yusuf, Promise Onochie, Morufu Yusuf, Okey Odita, Amanze Elekwachi, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Tukura Michael and Kingsley Obiekwu.
