Samaila Tanko: I am Samaila Tanko. DT: What were you doing before you were employed by Media Trust Newspapers Limited? Tanko: I was employed as office Assistant in 1997. DT: With what educational background did you join the company then? Tanko: I came with a secondary school leaving certificate. DT: When you were employed, what was it that were your line of duties? Tanko: I was doing clerical jobs much as getting to do errands on infrastructure services like going to NITEL, water board. They were many, I was doing virtually everything. DT: Everything in what case? Tanko: I was, in fact, driver, despatch rider. They are many. DT: What was your day like if you resume in the office and close later in the day? Tanko: I come to office as early as 6am and then close sometimes 8pm. When we started Media Trust initially, there was no specific line of duties for me. Like I told you earlier, I was doing everything. I was the office Assistant, doing everything, including going to the bank for the company. DT: You were not preparing salary for the work even though you were going to bank? Tanko: Not at all. DT: Now it is ten years since you come to Media Trust, how would you describe these ten years? Tanko: First of all, I thank God for keeping me alive to see this day. Actually, the company is growing to my pleasure. DT: What did you achieve in life within these ten years? Tanko: First of all, I married while in this company, I have built my own house, I have bought a car, I have furthered my education small, not much. I thank God for these little achievements. DT: What is your current position in the company? Tanko: Administrative officer. Views: 1883
