Former Military President Ibrahim Babangida said on Friday that Nigeria had not been structured to reflect true federalism. Babangida said during a condolence visit to the family of the late Afenifere leader, Chief Abraham Adesanya. He regretted that in spite of the efforts of people such as Adesanya, Nigeria has not been able to achieve true federalism in line with the aspirations of its founding fathers.

(WAEC), has cancelled its English
Language Paper One (Essay) of the ongoing May/June West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which was scheduled to hold yesterday.

Malam Muhammad Awwal left Samaru to Sabon Gari Zaria at around 9pm after visiting a friend of his. He did not foresee any danger on his way back home, Sabon Gari. The 37-year-old’s happy mood was cut short when some youths stopped his car, threatening to burn his car. The youths mistook Malam Awwal as one of the perpetrators of the alleged riggings that characterised the local governments’ elections.
